Classic Türkiye 10 Days
The most complete journey through Türkiye in 10 days: discover dazzling Istanbul with Hagia Sophia and Topkapı
Six days of pure adventure in Cappadocia: float over the fairy chimneys in a hot-air balloon at sunrise, hike through secret valleys of volcanic rock, descend into ancient underground cities, ride on horseback among lunar rock formations and explore the valleys by quad bike at sunset. All with your private English-speaking guide and accommodation in authentic cave hotels.
Arrival at Kayseri Airport (ASR). Welcome and transfer to your cave hotel in Ürgüp, one of the most charming villages in Cappadocia. Check-in and rest. In the afternoon, an orientation walk around Ürgüp: its local wineries (Cappadocia is the cradle of wine in Anatolia), craft shops and terraces with panoramic views. Welcome dinner at a cave restaurant with the region's typical cuisine: testi kebab (meat slow-cooked in a sealed clay pot).
Accommodation: cave hotel in Ürgüp.
Wake-up at 04:30 for Cappadocia's star experience: a hot-air balloon flight over the fairy chimneys as the sun rises. One hour aloft at 300 metres, with unique panoramic views of the valleys, rock formations and cave villages. Landing and a champagne toast. Rest and full breakfast at the hotel. Once recharged, a hike through the Red Valley (Kızılçukur): 6 km among red volcanic rock formations, hidden rock-cut churches and wild orchards. Picnic lunch in the valley. Return to the hotel.
Activities: balloon flight (1 h) + hike (3 h).
Meals included: breakfast and lunch.
Accommodation: cave hotel in Ürgüp.
A route through the Ihlara Valley, a 14 km green canyon carved by the Melendiz River, with 9th-century rock-cut churches hidden among the vegetation. We walk 4 km along the canyon trail among poplars and waterfalls. Lunch by the river at a traditional restaurant. In the afternoon, we descend into the fascinating Derinkuyu Underground City: eight levels below ground with stables, churches, kitchens and cellars where entire communities took refuge during invasions. A stop at the Selime viewpoint to see the largest monastery in Cappadocia.
Activities: hike (3 h) + underground exploration (1.5 h).
Meals included: breakfast and lunch.
Accommodation: cave hotel in Ürgüp.
An epic morning on horseback through Sword Valley (Kılıçlar) and Love Valley (Aşk Vadisi) — a 2-hour ride among fairy chimneys, columns of volcanic tuff and landscapes that look like another planet. No previous experience is needed; the horses are used to the terrain. Return and lunch. In the afternoon, a hands-on pottery workshop in Avanos, Cappadocia's potters' town, where the ceramic tradition goes back to Hittite times (3,000 years). You will shape your own piece on the wheel. Return to the hotel and a free afternoon to relax or browse the kilim shops.
Activities: horse ride (2 h) + pottery workshop (1.5 h).
Meals included: breakfast and lunch.
Accommodation: cave hotel in Ürgüp.
Visit to the Göreme Open-Air Museum (UNESCO World Heritage Site): a complex of Byzantine rock-cut churches and monasteries with original frescoes in vivid colours. Lunch included. In the afternoon, a quad bike (ATV) adventure through the valleys of Cappadocia: we ride dirt tracks among the fairy chimneys, climb to panoramic viewpoints and descend trails of volcanic dust as the sun sets, turning the rock formations orange. Pure adrenaline. Return to the hotel with the dust of the trail as a souvenir.
Activities: museum visit (2 h) + quad bike (2 h).
Meals included: breakfast and lunch.
Accommodation: cave hotel in Ürgüp.
Last breakfast on the terrace of your cave hotel, with panoramic views of the balloons taking off at sunrise — this time as a privileged spectator from your table. Free time for shopping: kilim rugs, Avanos ceramics, onyx and silver jewellery. Transfer to Kayseri Airport (ASR) according to your flight time. The end of 6 days of adventure in one of the most incredible landscapes in the world.

Because this is a private tour and its price depends on your dates, how many of you are travelling, the hotel category and the visits you want to include. I'd rather work it out by hand and send you a real quote, with everything itemised, than show you a "from" price that ends up looking nothing like what you pay. Request it with the quote form on this page and you'll have it within 24 hours.
Once you request a quote, you receive a private link with the final price and the full itinerary, with no obligation. To confirm, you pay a 30% deposit. The balance is paid 31 days before departure, by bank transfer or card (+3% surcharge). If you cancel more than 90 days before departure, only the handling fee and any penalties charged for flights and services already issued are retained; closer to departure, the cancellation policy scale applies, the same one you'll see in your quote.
