Cold and hot meze (hummus, ezme, yaprak sarma, calamari, börek), a main course of fish or kebab and the rakı experience — Türkiye's national drink, an aniseed spirit — with its ritual of water and ice.
90 minWe walk to the illuminated Galata Bridge over the Golden Horn. The night-time anglers, the passing boats, the lights of the mosques reflected in the water and the aroma of balık ekmek create an unmatched atmosphere. We cross to Karaköy and ride up the historic Tünel funicular.
