How much does a trip to Türkiye cost? It's the million-dollar question. The good news: Türkiye is one of the best-value destinations in the world. The Turkish lira has lost a lot of value against the euro, the US dollar and the pound, so your money goes a long way, especially on food and transport. All prices below are in euros (at the time of writing, €1 is roughly US$1.18) and are a rough guide for 2026.

The big monuments are the exception to the low prices: they charge foreign visitors euro-level prices (see below), so if you plan to visit several paid sites in a day, budget for them on top.

- International flight: this depends entirely on where you fly from. From elsewhere in Europe, a return flight can cost from around €120 in low season; from North America, Asia or Australia, expect to pay considerably more.

- Cappadocia balloon flight: roughly €150–350, depending on the season and the company.
- Museum Pass: Istanbul and nationwide museum passes can save money if you visit many sites; check current prices and which sites they cover before buying.

Is an all-inclusive private tour worth it?

Türkiye remains excellent value for money. With the weaker lira, eating out, getting around and staying in hotels costs significantly less than in Western Europe. Here is a realistic breakdown.

In Cappadocia, charming cave hotels cost between €80 and €200. In Istanbul, Sultanahmet and Beyoğlu are the best areas to stay, with options from €50 a night.
Transport

- Intercity coaches: €10–25 for a long journey (Istanbul–Ankara, for example)
- Istanbulkart (Istanbul public transport card): well under €1 per ride
